Give a gift in your Will

Always be there for the wildcats

A gift in your Will to give wildcats in Scotland a future is a special way to let your love of these wonderful animals live on. Restoring wildcats to the wilds of Scotland is a very long-term commitment and your gift will help ensure wildcats can survive and thrive in the wild places where they belong, long into the future.

Saving Wildcats is led by the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. Your wildlife conservation charity has been protecting animals in Scotland and around the world for over 100 years. Thanks to the support of many people like you, RZSS is doing everything possible to save wildcats from extinction and restore them to the wild. Gifts in Wills make so much of this work possible.

RZSS recognises gifts in Wills with a personal memorial in the form of a beautiful plaque at either Edinburgh Zoo or Highland Wildlife, each with a message and engraving of the animal most loved by the donor during their lifetime.

Let your love of animals live on

Betty Heath is now doing what she always wanted – helping to save wildcats from extinction in Scotland.

She’s helping to feed and care for wildcats in the Saving Wildcats Conservation Breeding for Release centre and preparing young wildcats for their future lives in the wild.

The team will be relying on Betty’s support as they monitor the new population of released wildcats roaming across the Cairngorms National Park.

Betty loved nature and animals and took a keen interest in Saving Wildcats. In 2016 she decided to include a gift in her Will to help wildcats, and her family knew she wanted to become a benefactor to her ‘special friends‘. She shared their hardiness and spent much of her life amongst the mountains and wild places of Scotland.

It’s several years since Betty passed away but her legacy to RZSS lives on, giving these much-loved animals a future in the wilds of Scotland which she cared about so passionately.
